Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 6, 2026
We believe privacy policies should be understandable, so here is ours in plain English. The short version: we collect very little data, we do not sell any of it, and we do not use creepy tracking cookies.
What We Collect
Website Analytics (Plausible)
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how people use this site. Plausible is a privacy-focused analytics tool that:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not collect personal information
- Does not track you across websites
- Is fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant out of the box
What Plausible does collect: aggregate data like page views, referral sources, browser type, country-level location, and device type. None of this is tied to you as an individual. We cannot identify any specific visitor, and we do not want to.
This is why you do not see a cookie consent banner on this site. There are no cookies to consent to.
Email (Beehiiv - Optional)
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we use Beehiiv to manage email subscriptions. When you subscribe, we collect:
- Your email address
- The date you subscribed
That is it. Subscribing is entirely optional and has no effect on your ability to use this site. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. When you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our active mailing list.
We will never:
- Sell your email address
- Share it with third parties for marketing purposes
- Send you spam or unrelated promotions
- Add you to the list without your explicit consent
What We Do Not Collect
To be clear about what we are not doing:
- We do not collect your name, phone number, or physical address
- We do not use tracking cookies or pixels
- We do not build user profiles
- We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar surveillance tools
- We do not run retargeting ads
- We do not fingerprint your browser
Third-Party Links and Their Tracking
Our reviews contain affiliate links to third-party retailers. When you click these links and visit sites like ClickBank, Amazon, or Market Health, those platforms have their own tracking mechanisms, typically cookies, to attribute sales to affiliates.
This tracking is controlled by those platforms, not by us. We have no access to the data they collect about you. Their privacy policies govern how they handle your information:
We encourage you to review those policies if you have concerns. We chose affiliate networks that are well-established and operate under standard e-commerce privacy practices, but their data handling is outside our control.
How We Use Your Data
The limited data we collect is used for:
- Analytics data: Understanding which content is useful, which pages need improvement, and how visitors find our site. This helps us write better reviews.
- Email addresses: Sending our newsletter with supplement news, new reviews, and health research updates. Nothing else.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or give away your personal data. Period.
The only parties with access to any data are:
- Plausible Analytics: Processes anonymized, aggregate website statistics. They do not have access to personal data because none is collected.
- Beehiiv: Processes email addresses for newsletter delivery. Bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements.
Data Retention
- Analytics data: Plausible retains aggregate statistics indefinitely. Since no personal data is collected, there is nothing personal to delete.
- Email addresses: Retained for as long as you remain subscribed. Unsubscribe and your email is removed from the active list. You can also request complete deletion by contacting us.
Your Rights
Under GDPR (European Union)
If you are in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access any personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict processing of your data
- Port your data to another service
- Object to processing of your data
In practice, the only personal data we might hold is your email address if you subscribed to the newsletter. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Under CCPA (California)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell any, but you have the right)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
Children’s Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tools or practices change. When we do, we will update the date at the top and note any material changes. We will not quietly reduce your privacy protections.
